Dr. Steve Fender has been preaching the gospel most of his life. His ministry began at age 16. Steve attended Gateway College in St. Louis, Missouri. While attending college, he became known as a fiery faith preacher which placed him in great demand in his denomination at a very early age. The first twelve years of his ministry were spent in revival crusades throughout America. Steve married Becky Varnado in January of 1971. Becky has become renowned for her gospel music, both singing and writing, some of her most requested songs are "I Give You Jesus" and "Whose Report Shall You Believe?" Steve and Becky have two sons, Sean and Brandon.
Steve felt the call of God to found the Livingway Christian Church in 1979, in San Antonio, Texas. Livingway has become a church widely known for its intense grass roots evangelism and exciting praise. The emphasis of Steve's strong Word ministry has produced a constant atmosphere of miracles. The result is a growing congregation of approximately two thousand members. The last number of years, the heart of Steve's ministry has been Livingway Church. He has, however, continued to minister in conventions and through national media. His San Antonio television and radio ministry, as well as national exposure, has been well received.
Steve's spiritual philosophy is simple; the church has a date with destiny. That destiny is that the church, by the power of the Holy Spirit, will experience the greatest awakening the world has ever known. This great revival will usher in the coming of our King and Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ!

This message explores nine specific excuses people use that keep them from being made whole.

God never limits His power in us according to our own limitations. Before Abraham and Sarah conceived Isaac, Ishmael came on the scene. Even though he was certainly not the son that God had promised to Abraham and Sarah, he was still a part of Abraham. When his mother set him away from her to die, God did not allow him to die because the promise God had made to him had not come to pass yet! If God made the promise, it cannot die!

This is a wonderful sermon about the blessings of dwelling in God's house. In Numbers, we read of Korah and his disobedience and rebellion that cost many their very lives. But the 84th Psalm dedicates its song to the sons of Korah and speaks of the friendliness of the house of God. When you personally recognize how amiable His house really is, you will desire to dwell in His house forever!

There were three things that were revealed immediately before the Last Supper ... Judas was revealed ... Peter's weakness was revealed ... and the sleeping state of the church was revealed. Yet, none of these things deterred Jesus from His purpose! His focus, as always, was doing the will of His Father who had sent Him!

At 11:59 p.m., nothing was happening! At 11:59 p.m., everything was negative! But one minute later, when Paul and Silas began to praise, everything changed! Praise is what weakens the prison and opens the door ... because HE IS THE DOOR and He shows up when we praise!

We will never live up to everything God created us to be until we recognize these two things ... He is worthy and He made us worthy! "For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by one man's obedience many will be made righteous." Romans 5:19 This message will encourage you to believe God for the best in your life because of the sacrifice that Jesus made to make us worthy!

Jesus could sleep during the storm because He completely trusted His Father! He was confident that His authority would prevail and they would indeed reach the other side, so He had no fear! He never let temporal circumstances distract Him from His eternal purpose! If we follow His example, we will be able to sleep through the storm like Him!

The Word of God tells us that He brought us out of darkness into His marvelous light! In return for that amazing deliverance, we are to show forth His praises! The word 'show' indicates that praise is an action and praise can be seen! And the validation for that praise is that when we 'show forth', God 'shows up' and inhabits our praises!
